Dear friend,

God’s promise for this month is that He will fulfill all your wishes. It is going to be the beginning of the fulfillment of all your desires. Many times, we have strong desires. We say, “Lord, it will be so good if this gets accomplished.” The Lord sees our desires, dear friend. He is aware of your wish even now. 

Once there was a little girl who prayed loudly in her bedroom. She was shouting and praying saying, “Lord, give me a bicycle right now.” Her mother came running hearing her shout. She said, “My daughter, God can hear you. You don’t have to shout to tell Him that.” But she said, “God can hear it mother, but you can’t hear if I whisper.” She knew that only if her prayer reached her mother’s ears, would she get a bicycle immediately!

But dear friend, our heavenly Father is ready to provide for us. He wants us to receive His best and have a smile on our face. So, He says today as per Psalm 20:4, 

“May he (God) give you the desire of your heart, and make all your plans succeed.”

What a blessing it is to have God come down and satisfy the desires of our heart. Even today, you might be having a long-term wish, desiring something for many days or even years together. You may be longing for your father to return to your family. You may be aching for his company. You may be longing for the sickness to leave your body. You might even say, “Lord, when am I going to get married?” Or you might be saying, “When am I going to start excelling in my studies?” You might be waiting for a long time for your wish to be fulfilled. But give that wish into God’s hands today. Say, “Lord, You fulfill it. It is enough that I have been making efforts. I have been trying to bring peace between my parents. I have been trying to do many things to get my marriage settled. But I am giving it to Your hands today.” Just pray and commit your desires into God’s hands. Philippians 4:6 says,

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

So, don’t be anxious even though it is a long-term wish. Secondly, pray with petition. Thirdly, when you have prayed and committed it into God’s hands, give thanks. When you give thanks, you are letting God know that you have let go of your desires into God’s hands and you believe He has started working on it. You won't be anxious or burdened anymore. You will know that the pressure is on the Lord and not on you anymore. He will work for you when you do this. Keep on thanking Him after you have prayed. Only have a thankful heart and He will work everything in the background for you. 

You might say, “Lord, I don’t have the resources I need to have my wish come true.” You might have become depressed because of that. You might not have the money, the people or the favor to get it done. You might feel like your hands are tied. 

Once a little boy gave some bread into the Lord’s hand and his faith was so great that Jesus would feed thousands of people with that little fish and bread. Even so Jesus smiled and blessed him. He multiplied it to feed thousands. Yes, that faith is great. So, go with that little faith, the little resources that you have. Start working with it. Don’t wait for anything more and you will see God adding resources after resources to you.  It will come to you at the right time. 

You might also be saying, “Lord, I do not have the talent to fulfill my wish, Lord.” But dear friend, there is a secret to it. In Luke 2:51, 52 we read that Jesus was obedient to his father and mother and through that He grew in great wisdom, stature. Yes, God loves obedience. So, obey the Lord and align your wishes to His will. Say to the Lord, “Father, fulfill Your will in my life. Your will is my wish.” When you thus operate in the Lord’s will, joy will fill your heart. If it is your will, you will have to find joy all by yourself. But if you surrender to God’s will, the Lord’s joy will overflow in your life. So, align your wish to God’s will. 

Sometimes, God will guide you through your parents whom He has placed in your life. What they day might be contrary to your wish. But stay in obedience. Sacrifice in the short-term and you will see God’s desire will fulfill in your life in the long-term and you will be happy. So, obey the Lord. Trust in Him and go forward. Give your wish to Him and give thanks to the Lord. Do these things this September and you will see your wish fulfilled. God has moved mountains to fulfill His will in your life. Prayer: 

Loving Father, Thank You for fulfilling heart’s desires according to Your will. Thank You for removing the obstacles and providing me with the resources and talent that I need for my desire to be accomplished. Give me faith and the gifts of Your spirit. Help me go forward in obedience trusting You have granted my prayer request. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
